With that in mind, the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau and Biltmore Fashion Park have partnered to open a new Visitors Information Center at Biltmore Fashion Park.
The Center, which is sponsored by America West Airlines, is fully staffed by visitor information specialists during regular shopping center hours.
Each year, more than 12 million people visit metropolitan Phoenix. Two-thirds of all visitors surveyed reported they shopped during their visit, according to the Bureau's latest visitor profile, placing shopping among the most popular of all visitor activities.
Biltmore Fashion Park, one of Greater Phoenix's top retail outlets, annually attracts more than five million shoppers - 3O percent of whom are visitors. This makes it a natural location for the Bureau s new Visitors Information Centers In addition to tourist information, visitors can receive restaurant information and reservations, golf tee times, wheelchair rentals, copy and facsimile service, surrounding hotel and resort information, and sports and entertainment event schedules.
The center also has on-line up-to-the-minute computer access for store, restaurant and city/state information; shopping center tours; employment opportunities; gift ideas, newsletters and brochures; and store merchandise selection.
The Visitors Information Center is located in the center garden courtyard area of the shopping center at 24th Street and Camelback Road.
